Acknowledge!

How often do we ask God for direction? God gave us the ability to choose between right and wrong but there are many things we do not always have good discernment about, not enough information, or the right information. God never sleeps, never grows weary. We can ask and talk to our Heavenly Father about anything and everything. He is never busy, and He delights to help us. Like we see our own children do sometimes we reject God’s direction because we want to toddle off towards that shiny object we think will make us happy, but God sees all the consequences of our rebellion. God knows we are only human and will let us deal with the consequences of our actions; but if we return and ask our Heavenly Father He will help us deal with the consequences not take them away. As for me, I have become so tired of my gullible, stupid mistakes that I take scripture to ask, seek, knock, acknowledge in all my ways so seriously I feel like a little girl that is always asking questions about everything because I know my Heavenly Father knows everything! Sadly this still doesn’t keep me from making mistakes because I don’t always ask the right questions, get into too much of a hurry, and because I am still a child. I still see my Heavenly Father’s hand in those times though leading me in how to correct my mistakes and get back on track. I know I can trust Him because I have seen the results of acknowledging our Heavenly Father in all my ways. Will we be more diligent in trusting God and coming to Him, our Heavenly Father as little children?

Matthew 18:1-4 At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who then is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless your are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”

Matthew 7:7-8 Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; IN ALL YOUR WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM AND HE SHALL DIRECT YOUR PATHS.

Jesus did not leave us orphans! We have a loving Heavenly Father, His Holy Spirit who is always there, always listening, always near, and cares for all things about us. We only need to look to Him to know Him.

I am God's work in progress. God's word says "be holy as I am holy." The only way to accomplish this is to turn our lives over to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that this is a learning process but begins with a real desire to know Him. My prayer is Lord keep me on your paths of righteousness bringing glory and honor to your name.
