Over time if we hear something repeated enough we begin to accept it as true. We stop looking for the fruits of the Spirit, we stop questioning does this line up with God’s word. Will we be awakened from our slumber and begin our our journey home by the way, the truth, and the life? Will we study to show ourselves approved a workman who needs not be ashamed?
Matthew 5:17-19 “Do not think I came to destroy the Law of the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”
Revelation 22:18-19 For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the Book of Life, from the Holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
2 Peter 1:20-21 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
Will we lean into the Holy Spirit for truth in the word of God? Will we follow our emotions and those who would lead us astray? Now is the time to put on the whole armor of God.
