Do we really believe God is in control?
Psalm 50:10-12 For every beast of the of the forest is Mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills. I know all the birds of the mountains, and the wild beasts of the field are Mine. If I were hungry, I would not tell you; for the world is Mine, and all its fullness.
Philippians 4:4-8 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say rejoice! Let your gentleness be know to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with all thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of a good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praise worthy-meditate on these things.
James 1:2-4 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
Romans 13:10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
Romans 13:8 Owe no man anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.
1 John 4:16 And we know and believed the love God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is, love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control. Against such there is no law.
John 14:15 If you love Me keep My commandments.
1 John 2:6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself, also to walk just as He walked.
Lord, we thank You this day for Your word! As the words that Solomon wrote down there is nothing new under the sun. Lord, we know that by Your word You will complete the good work you have begun in us to the day of Jesus Christ Your perfect Son who had no sin and there was no deceit found in Him. Lord, thank You for your Holy Spirit that You gave to lead, guide, comfort, and yes convict us of sin so we may do good and keep Your ways. In Jesus name increase our sensitivity to Your Holy Spirit that we may obey You and lead the abundant life in You that You have promised Your people in Your word.
