Bless The Lord O My Soul:
Psalm 103: 1-5 1 Bless The Lord O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name. 2 Bless the Lord O my should; and forget not all His benefits: 3 Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases. 4 Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies. 5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things; so that your youth is renewed like the eagles.
Isn’t God Awesome! Lets take verse 3 who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases.
Psalm 147:3-5 3 He heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds. 4 He counts the number of stars; He calls them all by name. 5 Great is our Lord, and mighty in power, His understanding is infinite!
When we are emotionally stressed from sin, anger, hurt, feeling unloved, feeling rejected, put down, guilty over things you have or haven’t done. How do you feel physically? Do you feel tired, nauseous, anxious, headache, muscle aches, hard to breath; it could be any number of things right. Over time if these things are left to grow the physical problems increase into disease as David said in Psalm 38: 3-5 3 There is no soundness in my flesh because of Your anger, Nor any health in my bones because of my sin. 4 For my iniquities have gone over my head: like a heavy burden they are too heavy for me. 5 My wounds are foul and festering because of my foolishness. Then we have Psalm 32:5 I acknowledged my sin to You and my iniquity I have not hidden. I said , I will confess my transgressions to the Lord, And YOU FORGAVE the iniquity of my sin.
I feel it is no surprise that forgiving our sins and healing our broken hearts comes first in God’s wisdom. Then the diseases caused by these things are healed. Jesus then replaces the broken with love, His love, perfect and unconditional! Psalm 103:4 Who redeems your life from destruction and crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies. Psalm 146:5-6 Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is the Lord his God. 6 Who made heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them: Who keeps truth forever! Next what does God do?
Psalm 103:5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things.
The next place disease starts is from what we put in our bodies. I ask the Holy spirit and do research on nutrition to find what is good for the body I have been given.
Genesis 1:29 And God said, Behold I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree in which is the fruits of a tree yielding seed: to you it shall be meat.
Genesis 9:3-4 Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs. 4 But you shall not eat flesh that has its life blood.
So God gave us all things HE CREATED as food for food to us. These are God’s natural creations.
Man has tried to modify God’s creation for more money. The Lord God created our bodies. Do you think He knows exactly what was to go into keep it healthy? We weren’t made to digest processed artificial food. We were made to digest and thrive on what God gave us.
Still the most important food we have is:
Matthew 4:4 Jesus answered “it is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of GOD.” John 6:27 Do not work for the food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on Him God the Father has placed His seal of approval.
Lord we thank you for Your amazing provision for us and all things that You created for our benefit. All things you created are beautiful and perfect in Your way. You alone Lord provided for our every need. Father forgive us for trying to change things that you created for the love of money and not for the benefit of our brothers and sister. Lord you have said seek first the kingdom of God and all things shall be added unto you. Lord you see our bodies you have made. Help us Lord to change our appetites back to those things that you created that are good for this temple You made. I thank You Lord that You have already begun a change in me. I have found I like salad free of dressing. It actually tastes amazing. Lord You know every thing about Your creation and that we are weak in this area. Please help us to grow stronger in You because You said we can do all things through Christ Who gives us strength. That there would not be a one of Yours begging bread or a feeble one among Your people. Lord I believe if we follow You and Your guidance that this is true. Help Your people have a hunger for you our Lord and strengthen the Holy Spirit within us to guide us in all things.
We thank You our most beautiful Lord for we know You hear and answer every prayer according to your riches in glory. That You will provide for our every need.
In Your Son Jesus precious name Lord we ask this. AMEN
