Does God use broken people? Let’s look at just a few listed in the genealogy of Jesus in Matthew chapter 1. David committed adultery and had her husband killed (2 Samuel 11-12) yet David was known as a man after Gods own heart. The wonderful thing about David is he admitted his sin, accepted responsibility for his sin, turned from his sin, accepted the consequences of his sin, and asked for forgiveness all without blaming anyone else (Adam and Eve passed the blame). Judah, he went into Tamar his dead son’s wife and she had twins by her father in-law (Genesis #38). Rahab was a prostitute who helped the Hebrew spies (Joshua #2). Ruth was a Moabite (Ruth #1). Solomon was the wisest king ever yet he worshiped foreign gods even knowing the one true God (1 Kings #11). All humans sin and fall short of God’s righteousness. We are none perfect. If we will humble ourselves admit our sin and short falls, do our best to correct them, turn away from them and ask for forgiveness we have a true, loving, forgiving Father who will forgive and help us to change and get us back on His paths of righteousness. Love does not hold on to hurts, hate, resentment, or any other slight; IT FORGIVES, it loves and in that we find peace and forgiveness for ourselves. We should never lose sight of what Jesus did for us and remain humble in His sight and the Holy Spirit, if we will listen, will correct and lead us in correction and redirect us back to the way, the truth, and the life.
Romans 3:23 For ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

1 Corinthians 13:4-6 Love suffers love and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in truth.
Proverbs 25:21-22 If your enemy is hungry give him bread to eat; and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink; for in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head and the Lord will reward you.
Galatians 6:9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not lose heart.
