Brothers Keeper?

Genesis 4:9-10 Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is Able your brother?” He said, “I do not know. Am I my brothers keeper?” And He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground.”

Deuteronomy 22:1 “You shall not see your brother’s ox or his sheep going astray, and hide yourself from them; you shall certainly bring them back to your brother.

Exodus 23:4-5 ” If you meet your enemy’s ox or his donkey going astray, you shall surely bring it back to him again. If you see the donkey of one who hates you lying under its burden, and you would refrain from helping it, you shall surely help him with it.

We have seen that we are all connected in this world. Will we choose to love and care for others even more than ourselves or will we choose our own way?

Philippians 2:3-4 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interest, but also for the interests of others.

Thou shall not kill.

James 4:17 Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.

We make a choice with every thing we say and do. Will we choose love, peace, gentleness, kindness, truth, self control?

Lord, what is not possible for man is possible for You. Help us to choose Your way. In Jesus name amen

I am God's work in progress. God's word says "be holy as I am holy." The only way to accomplish this is to turn our lives over to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that this is a learning process but begins with a real desire to know Him. My prayer is Lord keep me on your paths of righteousness bringing glory and honor to your name.
