Do we really want change? Do we really want to know our mistakes so they can be corrected? Do we really want to learn from our past history? Would we like a future free of hate, racism, prejudice, injustice, and oppression of the poor and needy? Do we really want to follow God’s way?
James 1:27 Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and keep oneself unspotted from the world.
Galatians 6:9-10 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially, to those who are of the household of faith.
Matthew 25:34-37 “Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: ‘For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.'”
Do we really want to see change in God’s world?
2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 2:15-16 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth, but shun profane and idle babbling, for they will increase to more ungodliness.
Do we really want change for the good of God’s world? Are we willing to learn from history, from our and others mistakes? The good and the bad? Are we willing to walk as the humble Servant Jesus did?
