Can we make a change in the world? Do we want to make a change? Are we willing to make a change if it means not fitting in with those around us? There is a lot of anger and hate can we truly answer it with love, gentleness, kindness, hope, and truth? I once heard the Holy Spirit say, “you will change the world.” I thought about this and prayed about this and asked, “how”. I was shown a beautiful lake and a small pebble was dropped into the lake. The ripples the small pebble made got larger and larger. Yes, we can change the world. God changes the world by changing me; one me at a time.
Ezekiel 36:26-27 I will give you a new heart and put a new Spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put my Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgements and do them.
Will we listen for God’s Holy Spirit? Do we quench the Holy Spirit with our anger or fear? It can be hard when God says we are to be gentle and loving when the world tells us to fight. God fights for us and does not need us to fight for Him HE IS GOD. “Be still and know that I am God.” God is God alone.
Matthew 5:5-9 Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God.
Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control. Against such there is no law.
Can we be the change God wants us to be? Can we speak kindly, open a door, give a smile, listen more than we speak, supply a need of any sort? The change doesn’t need to be a bolder but a steady walk in Jesus’s truth and way.
