Children of God?

Look around. Today we can carry around a small device in our hand that we can get any information from, call someone on the other side of the world and see them on a screen. We have doctors who can do surgery with a robot to save lives. We have scientist who can develop a vaccine in months instead of years. We have technology that can predict weather and earthquakes. We have those who study the history of our planet and can tell of things that happened in ancient times long ago. We have sent men to the moon and they walked on it. We have so much in this time to help us.

Yet, still, we cannot live in peace with each other.

Ecclesiastes 1:10-11 Is there anything of which it may be said, “See this is new?” It has already been in ancient times before us. There is no remembrance of former things, nor will there be any remembrance of former things that are to come by those who come after.

Will we be a part of the solution?

Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God.

Romans 12:16-18 Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion. Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.

Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called children of God. God fights for us, He is God. Do we think God needs us to fight for Him or obey Him?

I am God's work in progress. God's word says "be holy as I am holy." The only way to accomplish this is to turn our lives over to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that this is a learning process but begins with a real desire to know Him. My prayer is Lord keep me on your paths of righteousness bringing glory and honor to your name.
