We make many choices each day. Do we ask God about them? Do we check in with God on the small and large choices we make? The devil can be very subtle in his deception. What seems right at the moment may not bear the fruit we hope for.
John 16:13 However, when He the Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
Jesus did not leave us on our own. Jesus asked the Father and the Father gave us His Holy Spirit. We cannot know all things but God does.
John 15:26 But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth who proceeds from the Father. He will testify of Me.
The Spirit of Truth will never go against the word of God.
Matthew 5:18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.
Have we tasted and seen that the Word of God is good, perfect and beautiful? He has given us a guide in His word that shows us the good path and what happens when we follow evil. As Joshua said: ‘Choose this day whom you will follow.’
Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?
The devil took bits of scripture to tempt Jesus. Will we study to know the truth of God’s word? Will we pray without ceasing, staying in step with the Holy Spirit?
Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God, is with you wherever you go.
