Church?

1 Corinthians 12:27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.

In Revelation there were letters written to the seven churches. They were to be read by the churches. A building cannot read a letter. The Church is God’s people not the building. Christ did not come to die for a building.

Luke 19:10 For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.

We can’t stand in the building door and wait for them to come.

Luke 14:23 Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways, and the hedges, and compel them to come in, that My house may be filled.’

Again this is a spiritual house not a building. We have to care more for the body of Christ than the building. He says where two or more are gathered in My name, there I am also.

Gathering together is good but taking Christ in our hearts and shining His love in our life is better than sitting on a pew. There are straying sheep sitting on benches that are in need. Some are called to be a light in one way while others are called in another, but we are all called to let Christ light shine through us.

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

The woman at the well could not come to Jesus. He went to her. The men in the tombs could not come to Jesus. He went to them. Jesus was always where the Father wanted Him. Where He was needed. When we go about our day do we take Jesus light with us? Do we intentionally shine God’s love before us? Is it the first thing others see?

Lord , I thank You for Your word and Your every blessing. In Jesus name lead Your people in love to shine for You. Amen

I am God's work in progress. God's word says "be holy as I am holy." The only way to accomplish this is to turn our lives over to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that this is a learning process but begins with a real desire to know Him. My prayer is Lord keep me on your paths of righteousness bringing glory and honor to your name.
