Commandments?

What does God require of us? Are we listening? Who are we listening to? All scripture is God breathed. Will we listen?

Jeremiah 7:22-23 For I did not speak to your fathers, or command them in the day I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices. But this is what I commanded them saying, ‘ Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be My people. And walk in My ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well with you.

1 Samuel 15:22 So Samuel said: “Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed than the fat of rams.”

John 14:15 If you love Me keep My commandments.

Jeremiah 7:5 For if you thoroughly amend your ways and your doings, if you thoroughly execute judgement between a man and his neighbor, if you do not oppress the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place, or walk after other gods to your hurt, then I will cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers forever and ever.

Will we search ourselves? God sees the heart, He knows every detail about us. Will we ask for God’s help in walking out God’s truth in our lives?

Romans 13:10 Love does no harm to a neighbor, therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

I am God's work in progress. God's word says "be holy as I am holy." The only way to accomplish this is to turn our lives over to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that this is a learning process but begins with a real desire to know Him. My prayer is Lord keep me on your paths of righteousness bringing glory and honor to your name.
