Do we resist our heavenly Father’s correction? Do we decide what is right by the worlds standards?
Hebrews 12:11 Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
When we read the scripture do we accept God’s correction?
Malachi 3:5 And I will come near you for judgement; I will be a swift witness against sorcerers, against adultery, against perjurers, against those who exploit wage earners, and widows and orphans, AND those who turn away an alien. Because they do not fear Me, says the Lord of hosts.
Those who say they believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior are to be different because we follow His teaching. Are we following His teaching?
Hebrews 4:12-13 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thought and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give an account.
Will we will follow Christ’s teaching?
Psalm 50:23 Whoever offers praise glorifies Me; And to him who orders his conduct aright I will show the salvation of God.
Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
