How much time do we spend counting our blessings? How much time do we spend complaining?
Psalm 103:1-5 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagles.
How much time do we spend looking to Jesus? To God’s word, teaching? How much time do we spend listening to the world, social media? God is love! Love your neighbor, love your enemies, love the stranger.
Romans 13:10 Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
Hebrews 13:1-2 Let brotherly love continue. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have entertained angels.
1 John 1:10-11 He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. But he who hates his brother is in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
Are we quick to spread love or hate?
Proverbs 26:22 The words of a talebearer are like tasty trifles, and they go down into the inmost body.
Proverbs 26:20 Where there is no wood, the fire goes out; and where there is no talebearer, strife ceases.
May we look to our true King Jesus for direction.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. IN ALL YOUR WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM AND HE SHALL DIRECT YOUR PATH.
Do we pray about our way and then move on to do it our own way? Do we wait, and search God’s word for direction?
Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint.
Choose this day Whom you shall serve.
