In the beginning God spoke all things into existence. If we look at the order God created / provided all that was needed for man and animals before God created them. God then told man to take care of all He had created. We are called to love others no matter their race, religion, or nationality. There are many one paycheck or one job loss away from destitution. If God has blessed us should we be a blessing to others? Would any of us want our child to go hungry? Yes, even our adult child, our parents, or a friend? God has often reminded me every little bit helps because I often feel the little I have to give is so small. Please no matter how little it can make a difference. It is not just one of us but many coming together. God is Love.
Proverbs 19:17 He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, and He will pay back what he has given.
Psalm 41:1-3 Blessed is he who considers the poor; the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. The Lord will preserve him and keep him alive, and he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to his enemies. The Lord will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.
James 2:15-17 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, depart in peace be warmed and filled, but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works is dead.
Our local community food banks need help with volunteers, food, and clothing (Coats). Please remember that many have to swallow a lot of pride to ask for help. BE KIND. There are many more who would rather not ask but when it comes to feeding your child, what would we be willing to do? At a time I sold things I could to pay bills. Thank God my children never had to go hungry or any child who has come to my home. At a time when I was little we needed assistance. A lot of pride was swallowed. There are those who would have you believe those who need help are lazy. If you know me or my dad you would know we are not lazy. BE KIND!
