Danger?

This Proverb is repeated in Proverbs. Should we take heed?

Proverbs 22:3 A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself, but the simple pass on and are punished.

Proverbs 27:12 A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself; the simple pass on and are punished.

A prudent or wise man sees the danger at hand and adjusts his behavior to avoid it. The simple who do not use wisdom or care in their actions pass on and suffer the consequences of their behavior. There is another that gets in our way of wise choices.

Proverbs 16:18 Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.

I have had the flu, strep, colds, bronchitis, stomach viruses. We have all most likely experienced illness of some sort. Me, I hate it and I do not wish it or want to share it with anyone, it is miserable. When we are talking to someone we are breathing in everything they are breathing out. Most everyone has experienced that spit in the eye, right? The not so pleasant odor? So we are each breathing in whatever the person or persons we are talking to is breathing out and they are breathing in whatever we are breathing out. We are told the greatest commandments are to love God and love our neighbor and if we love God we keep His commandments. We can keep our spit to ourselves simply by putting on a mask. To me this shows great respect for the person I am around because I am loving them enough to protect them from anything I may be spreading.

Philippians 2:3-4 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interest of others.

Romans 13:10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Will we choose love?

I am God's work in progress. God's word says "be holy as I am holy." The only way to accomplish this is to turn our lives over to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that this is a learning process but begins with a real desire to know Him. My prayer is Lord keep me on your paths of righteousness bringing glory and honor to your name.
