Romans 13:3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same.
Ephesians 4:30-31 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.
Proverbs 6:16-19 These six things the Lord hates, yes seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift in running to evil, a false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brethren.
Exodus 20:16 You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
We know from Jesus teachings that all people are our neighbors. God does not show partiality. God is the only one who can read our hearts and know our thoughts and motives. Those of us who are believers are not to pick and choose what we want from God’s word to follow. His wisdom from above is perfect. This is the way walk in it. Posting, speaking, writing, agreeing with those who slander another in any way is not of God. God corrects His people with truth. Unless we know more than God knows about anyone then we should avoid doing anything other than praying for them. We are also told not even to listen to gossip. We can not unsee what the eye has seen and we cannot unhear what the ear has heard.
Lord, we hear and see many things in this world. Help Your people to know and heed Your word. Love does no harm to a neighbor, love is the fulfillment of the law. In Jesus name amen.
