How do we reward evil for good?
Proverbs 17:13 Who ever rewards evil for good, evil will not depart from his house.
Do we reward those who gossip by listening to gossip? Do we reward those who have no self control of their behavior or their words by continuing to support them? Do we watch television shows that promote sex, sexual violence, or violence against women or others? Do we disobey the laws of our country? God’s word leads in all these things to correct our behavior. Do we disobey God’s perfect, just word? What example do we set for our children, for our friends, for all those we come in contact with?
2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, throughly equipped for every good work.
Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord you God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment and the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
Romans 13:10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
John 14:15 If you love Me, keep My commandments.
