Jesus set an example and taught what we should do. Do we pick and choose what we want to do or what we feel like doing in whatever the current situation?
John 13:15 “I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.”
Matthew 23:23 Woe to you scribes ands pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithes of mint and anise and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy, and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone.
Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
Will we follow Jesus example and be welcomed home?
Matthew 25:34-40 Then King will say to those on His right hand, ‘ Come you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food ; I was thirsty and you gave me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ Then the righteous will answer Him saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see you a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison and come to You?’ AND THE KING WILL ANSWER AND SAY TO THEM, ‘ASSUREDLY, I SAY TO YOU, INASMUCH AS YOU DID IT TO THE LEAST OF THESE MY BRETHREN, YOU DID IT TO ME.’
1 John 2:6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk just as He walked.
