False Doctrine?

Should we not turn away from one who teaches / tells us to believe, agree, or do things that go against God’s word, God’s teaching? Do we search God’s word for His truth? God’s way? It is a scary thing to go against what God has taught us.

Malachi 3:5 And I will come near you for judgement; I will be a swift witness against sorcerers, against adulterers, against perjurers, against those who exploit wage earners, and widows, and orphans, and against those who turn away an alien. Because they do not fear Me, says the Lord of Hosts.

How do we discern the truth? Does it match up with God’s word? A house divided cannot stand.

Proverbs 6:16-19 These six things the Lord hates, yes seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift in running to evil, a false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brethren.

Jesus is still on the throne! There is nothing hidden from God.

Malachi 3:2-3 But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like launderers soap. He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer the Lord an offering in righteousness.

Are we listening? Whom are we following?

I am God's work in progress. God's word says "be holy as I am holy." The only way to accomplish this is to turn our lives over to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that this is a learning process but begins with a real desire to know Him. My prayer is Lord keep me on your paths of righteousness bringing glory and honor to your name.
