Family?

How often do we stop and think about how we treat those related to us? Do we treat them with the same kindness we may treat a stranger? Do we treat them with the same fruits of the Holy Spirit, love, gentleness, kindness, Self Control, faithful to protect our relationship? I do not always succeed at this. When we are in a family related to us by blood or in the body of Christ’s family we are still all different, we have different personalities, beliefs, attitudes, strengths and weaknesses, and we are all up in each others business. This is a 24-7 job. I get tired and I am guessing we all do at times. Thankfully God never grows tired or weary, he is always our Good Father first and foremost. If we will listen our Heavenly Father will lead us and show us the way to reconcile our differences.

Philippians 2:3-4 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out for not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.

Proverbs 15:17 Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a fatted calf with hatred.

The mind cannot unsee what the eye has seen and the ear cannot un hear what it has heard. Things seen and heard can be a gift or a curse.

1 Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.

Proverbs 25:11 Better is a dry morsel with quietness, than a house full of feasting with strife.

Proverbs 16:32 He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.

Psalms 68:6 God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

Remember God our Father’s mercies are new every morning. Our Father God is quick to forgive when we truly say we are sorry and do our best to make things right. God spoke all things into existence. Jesus rebuked the devil with “It is Written.” Words matter. Actions speak loudly.

Lord, set and keep a guard over my heart, mind, soul, and tongue that I may speak Your truth in love.

I am God's work in progress. God's word says "be holy as I am holy." The only way to accomplish this is to turn our lives over to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that this is a learning process but begins with a real desire to know Him. My prayer is Lord keep me on your paths of righteousness bringing glory and honor to your name.
