Who are we really following? The news? The politician? The preacher? The pastor? The latest trends? Our friends? Our family? Jesus said follow Me. Can we follow Him if we do not study who He is? Can we follow Him if we do not study His teaching? There are many who say they are believers in Jesus but their actions are showing they are not followers of Jesus.
1 John 2:6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk just as He walked.
Matthew 16:24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
Romans 13:10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
Who is our neighbor? Who did Jesus tell us our neighbor is?
1 Timothy 2:1 Therefore I exhort first that all supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men.
Can we do this? Can we stop complaining, stop being angry, and begin to pray as Jesus taught us to pray?
Our Father in heaven hallowed be Your name, Great is Your name and Your greatness is unsearchable, the world belongs to You and all that is in it. Your kingdom come, Your will be done in earth as it is in heaven. Thank You for giving us our daily bread, forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us away from temptation and deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom, Yours is the power, Your is the glory forever. Amen
