What is freedom? Freedom: the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.
What is religious freedom? Religious Freedom: is a fundamental human right and the first among rights guaranteed by the United States Constitution. It is the right to think, express and act upon what you deeply believe, according to the dictates of conscience.
Jesus did not demand anyone to believe in Him. Jesus invites and never turns away one who comes to Him. Would we want this right to believe in our Lord and Savior taken from us? Why would we try to take away another’s rights? God gave His commandments to HIS PEOPLE! They were given a choice.
Joshua 24:15 And if it seems evil for you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the river, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house we will serve the Lord.
Will we win souls Jesus way?
Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
1 Peter 2:11-12 Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul, having your conduct honorable among the gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation.
Romans 13:10 Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
