Our ancestors who came to America, came to escape persecution. They wanted freedom of religion and freedom of speech. To share ideas and work out solutions. They worked out what we call the constitution of America. In the constitution ALL people in America are guaranteed freedom of religion and freedom of speech in this country. Freedom of persecution for their views and their religion.
I have heard people say, “They want to take our churches,” “They want to take our religion.” Have we stopped to think, to realize we want to take away others rights? This is not one sided. God gave us a country where all people are free to choose how to worship and believe free of persecution yet because we don’t like the way God gave us our freedom we argue. We are all throwing stones at anyone who disagrees with us and our way. Jesus said, “Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.” We have all sinned and fallen short of God’s glory, God’s righteousness. There is only one righteous Judge, “JESUS” our Savior; not only this one or that one but ALL the world. Jesus did not come to condemn the world but that it might be saved. If Jesus did not condemn the world what right do we have to condemn it? Jesus loved first, healed, fed, clothed, comforted, forgave, died for ALL peoples sin. Jesus said there would be many that would be turned away that thought they were righteous but what Jesus told them was right is what is right and Jesus lived it out as an example for us. Are we sheep or goats? Is our faith so small that we want to destroy others who do not believe as we do? What does the world see in us? Jesus or judge? Love or hate? Choose this day whom you will follow.
Matthew 25:33-36 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on His left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’
Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control. Against such there is no law.
Blessed are the peace makers for they shall be called the sons of God.
