God?

Do we put ourselves in the place of God? Do we do as we say we believe? Do we study God’s word to know how to walk in His ways? Should we lead by doing what God’s word says just as Jesus does and walk in it? Should we lead by Jesus’s example? Do we get angry when others tell us what we should think or believe? If we think about these questions, will we change? Jesus told His disciples to go and spread the good news. Jesus left us His example and direction on how to do this. Jesus did not force anyone to believe. Jesus said, “Come”, Jesus loves, heals, feeds, is gentle, speaks truth, welcomes all who come to Him, and died for us all that we may live. Do we hold others to a standard we do not hold ourselves to? Jesus loved first.

1 John 4:19 We love Him because He first loved us.

1 John 4:7-11 “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifest toward us, that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us we also ought to love one another.”

1 John 2:6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk just as He walked.

Romans 13:8-10 Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Who is our neighbor?

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

James 3:9-10 With it we bless God and Father and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.

I am God's work in progress. God's word says "be holy as I am holy." The only way to accomplish this is to turn our lives over to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that this is a learning process but begins with a real desire to know Him. My prayer is Lord keep me on your paths of righteousness bringing glory and honor to your name.
