There is a scripture that stood out to me today. I am sure we have read it many times yet we often pass by a scripture without taking it in.
Matthew 8:11 And I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.
Can we imagine sitting down with such great men of God in God’s kingdom? Jesus says that many who believe, who have faith in Him will sit down with them in the kingdom of heaven. Do we believe?
Mark 12:27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living. You are therefore greatly mistaken.
Jesus told us He was going to prepare a place for us. Do we believe?
John 14:1-4 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.”
Are we spending our time on fruitful things? Are we keeping our thoughts on kingdom things?
Matthew 6:33-34 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Will we seek Jesus and His teachings? Will we walk in His ways? Will we trust the One God who holds all tomorrows? Will we commit to changing the world by doing those things and being a light for others?
