Do we know that all heaven and earth are God’s dominion? Do we believe God is in control of all heaven and earth? All of scripture points to the fact that all things in heaven and earth were created by and belong to God. No, we can’t understand all God’s ways or decisions because we only see a very small picture of this life and world; yet, God sees the whole picture from beginning to end and we have to trust God’s plans for us are good because it is written. Sometimes God will take something and replace it with something better; hold on loosely. All good things come from God. Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers even after God had given him a dream that his brothers would bow before. How do you think Joseph felt? Do you think maybe he had doubts? Joseph waited and obeyed God and still believed in God during his time as a slave and God gave him favor and 13 years of training before he became second only to the king of Egypt and his brothers did bow before him. King Nebuchadnezzar was given a great kingdom by God and when his pride made him believe that it was all his doing God put him out in the field to eat grass until seven times had past and he proclaimed God is the everlasting God over all heaven and earth. God hears His peoples cries and has given us a Helper to follow Jesus’s example. Are we listening?
Daniel 4:34-35 And at the end of the time I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me; and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever: For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, and His kingdom is from generation to generation. All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing, He does according to His will in the army of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth. No one can restrain His hand or say to Him, “What have you done?”
