Have we really noticed God’s message? Have we realized it has never changed?
Throughout God’s word from beginning to end God calls us to love Him by keeping His commandments which Jesus summed up in two greatest commandments and each time God’s people strayed there were consequences that God had already told them about and yet in God’s mercy and love He kept sending those to warn them to return to Him and keep His commandments and prosper.
Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: you shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the prophets.”
Romans 13:10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the Law.
Matthew 5:44 “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.”
John 14:15 “If you love Me keep My commandments.”
God’s message has never changed.
Malachi 3:6-7 For I am the Lord, I do not change: Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob. Yet from the day of your fathers you have gone away from My ordinances and have not kept them.
John 14:15 “If you love Me keep My commandments!”
Malachi 3:18 Then you shall again discern between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.
