Do we say we are Christ followers? The scriptures are written for the teaching and training of those who are Christ followers. Are we Christ followers? Do those around us recognize us as followers of Christ?
2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is God given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, throughly equipped for every good work.
Ezekiel 9:4-6 And He called to the man clothed in linen, who had the writers inkhorn at his side and the Lord said to him, “Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and cry over all the abominations that are done within it.” To the others He said in my hearing, “Go after him through the city and kill; do not spare, nor have any pity. Utterly slay old and young men, maidens and little children and women; but do not come near anyone on whom is the mark; AND BEGIN AT MY SANCTUARY.
2 Chronicles 7:14 If MY PEOPLE who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
Do we blame those in the world who don’t believe in God for the state of things? God says, “IF MY PEOPLE.” The unbelievers are blessed by true believers. When God’s people walk as we are called too, the unbeliever sees. We all sin and fall short. Yet do we make it right?
Psalm 19:12-14 Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults. Keep back Your servant from presumptuous sins; Let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, and innocent of great transgression. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer!
