I asked the Lord, “How do I get myself in these messes?” The one word answer was very clear, “GULLIBLE.” I cried, “Lord, I don’t want to be gullible any more.” We all can be gullible. Something that started as a way for family and friends to stay in touch quickly became a tool used for lies and scams to harm, divide, and steal. We know that those who do such things are from the devil for he is the father of lies and hate. How many of us has made a steady diet of such things? Social media can be used for good and for evil. How gullible are we? Do we believe all the things posted even from people or sites we don’t even know where they are from? Do we even share those things from those we don’t know and have no proof of? Do we study God’s word to learn how to handle such things? Yes, God’s word is able to guide and lead in this.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
The devil wants us moving and speaking quickly so we don’t have time to think, time to pray because if we take that time our behavior would line up more with our Father’s in heaven.
Philippians 4:5-7 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be known to God; And the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Proverbs 4:23 Keep your hearts with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.
Hate destroys, Love heals. God is love. Whom will we choose?
