How do those of us who say we are christians hinder others from believing? By our words? By our actions? By not knowing God’s word and walking in it? By thinking we are entitled to put others down and demand they believe as we do? Are we true Jesus followers?
Proverbs 25:26 A righteous man who falters before the wicked is like a murky spring and a polluted well.
We none get it right all the time. Do we do our best to make it right when we stumble and do better?
Matthew 18:15 Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him ALONE. If he hears you, you have gained your brother.
Matthew 18:21-22 Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say so you, up to seven times but up to seventy times seven.”
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
1 John 2:6 He who says he abides in Him ought to himself walk just as He walked.
1 John 2:10 He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him.
God loves first and foremost. God’s correction and direction is for our benefit. Are we listening? Will we humble ourselves and follow Jesus way? Though we stumble He will not let us fall. Jesus fix me.
