How Is Your Faith:
Faith Defined: Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Dictionary : Faith complete trust or confidence in someone or something. Trust, relying on the fact that something is true.
I like gotquestions.org example on this: Intellectual assent is recognizing that a chair is a chair and agreeing that it is designed to support a person who sits on it. Trust is actually sitting in the chair.
Matthew 13:57-58 So they were offended at Him; But Jesus said to them, “a prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house.”
58 He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
Matthew 17:20 So Jesus said to them “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have the faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain or problem move from here to there, and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” However this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.
What is the mountain you are facing right now? Is it family, sickness, or finances?
GOD SAYS.
Isaiah 49:11 I will make each of My Mountains a road and My highways shall be elevated.
I do not understand God’s purpose in all things but I do know He answers every prayer. We don’t always recognize it because He also teaches us in the trail so we are equipped to handle the next trial.
God healed me instantly of an intestinal issue because I said “I can’t handle this any more.” This never happened again. I know because it had been going on for so long and it happened every morning. God lead us and made a way for us to get out of over 120K in credit card debit in just over a year. He taught me about my spending along the way. Teaching me by asking “do you need it.” The answer is usually “no”. We did refinance our home and take out cash to pay off a large chunk. If we had not stopped all our spending this would not have helped because we would have been back in the same shape. Then for the last part of the debt I said “Lord to get out of this debt that is left by the end of the year we are going to need a windfall; can we still do it?” God said “YES”. You see God knows every tomorrow! He is so awesome! I said “ok”, and felt confident it would happen. My accountant called and we went over our taxes for that year and yes we got back more than enough to pay off the rest of the debit. The thing is God knew we were serious about changing our habits. I still on occasion buy something I don’t truly need but we pay our credit card off every month.
God healed me of a bladder problem. This time I got up and was peeing a lot of blood. The short of it is I said “God you healed me of the other thing you can heal this too.” I had that confidence! I didn’t expect or demand I just knew He could. I got to my office and heard ” healing begun” I felt his power moving in my body. With in an hour there was no more blood in my urine.
God has also healed my family. We are still a work in progress but God has promised me where I see no way that He will make a way and I believe HIM! My family doesn’t recognize what God has done for them but I know He is at work for all of us.
Psalm 34:8 / Oh taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him.
Psalm 148:13 / Let them praise the name of the Lord, For His name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heaven.
Now I know that God’s ways are unsearchable. When He answers prayers what He sends will always be for our best. Even though we walk through a trial to get there the outcome is truly what God leads us through to get to where He has great things for us. We gain strength in Him. If you want your body to get stronger you have to use it, work out. It won’t happen sitting on the sofa. God grows our faith through each trial we walk through.
Romans 8:28 and we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.
Lord in Jesus name I am asking for healing for this ___(_your trial_)________________________. I am asking that You direct my path in walking through this with You; for You promised to never leave me nor forsake me and that You would strengthen me and uphold me with Your righteous right hand. Lord Your word says You know your plans for me plans for good and not of evil, plans for a hope and a future. Lord I ask that You keep me on Your path of righteousness through this bringing glory and honor to Your name. I know Lord You will give me no more than I can bear. Lord Your word is pure, good, and faithful. Thank you for Your Son Jesus Christ our King and Savior; who Your word says in John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. You Lord created me and are my Shepard, Keeper and Savior. Your name is a strong and mighty tower. Nothing has the power to save but Your name.
