Jesus?

Do we really want to be just like Jesus? If we answer yes to this question then in every situation should we not ask, “What would Jesus do?”

John 14:15 If you love Me keep My commandments.

Jesus taught in some parables. In the parable of the tares and the wheat Jesus teaching is clear who will be Judge.

Matthew 13:27-30 So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘NO, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let them grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”

Jesus came to seek and to save the lost; He ate with sinners. By no means does Jesus reject any who come to Him in truth. Even in the last hour the thief on the cross went home to paradise.

Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins souls is wise.

Do we really want to be like Jesus?

John 8:29 And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.

Are we sowing love or hate? Are we living in a way that others would want the light of Jesus for themselves? Are we producing good fruit by not only speaking the good news but by living and walking in it that others may see Christ love in us?

I am God's work in progress. God's word says "be holy as I am holy." The only way to accomplish this is to turn our lives over to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that this is a learning process but begins with a real desire to know Him. My prayer is Lord keep me on your paths of righteousness bringing glory and honor to your name.
