How good is our judgement? Can we see every detail of every situation? Can we read the heart of man as Jesus does? We can learn from cause and effect. Yet, I confess it has taken a few times for me in some situations before I get that the out come isn’t going to change if I keep doing the same thing. How about you? I read a post that said if you put a hundred red ants and a hundred black ants in a jar they get along fine; but if someone shakes the jar they start attacking each other because they believe it was the other ants fault. It wasn’t either of their fault but someone outside caused the problem. Can we pray, wait, and use the discernment and good judgement God gives?
Proverbs 6:16-19 These six things the Lord hates, yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift in running to evil, a false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brethren.
Psalm 101:5 Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, him I will destroy; The one who has a haughty look and a proud heart, Him I will not endure.
Proverbs 10:18 Whoever hides hatred has lying lips, and whoever spreads slander is a fool.
Proverbs 10:19 In a multitude of words sin is not lacking, but he who restrains his lips is wise.
James 1:19-20 So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
Proverbs 17:9 He who covers a transgression seeks love, but he who repeats a matter separates friends.
Proverbs 2:1-6 My son if you receive my words, and treasure my commands within you, so that you incline your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding; Yes, if you cry out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding, If you seek for her as for hidden treasures; then you will understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; and from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.
When was the last time we read Proverbs? From God comes wisdom, knowledge, understanding, direction, peace, love, hope, and protection from the evil one. This is the way, walk in it. No one is perfect but it is better to be criticized for doing what is right. Is it not?
