Law?

Do we obey God’s laws or do we decide to take them into our own hands and enforce them? Do we demand that those who do not believe have them enforced upon them? Have we made ourselves a terror to unbelievers?

Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of righteousness is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.

Are we winning souls?

1 Peter 2:11-17 Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul, having your conduct honorable among the gentiles, that when they speak against you as evil doers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation. Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake, whether the king as supreme, or to the governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good. For this is the will of God that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men, as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God. Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.

Philippians 4:5-6 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by Prayer and Supplication, with Thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God!

Our fight is not with our neighbors.

Ephesians 6:12-13 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Zechariah 4:6 So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of host.

Luke 6:46 But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord’ and not do the things which I say?

Will we obey and be doers of God’s Word? Will we love others as ourselves? Will we set ourselves in God’s place in the judgement seat?

God’s ways are not our ways. God knows all things from beginning to end. I am thankful He is my judge, loving, merciful, and forgiving. Freely we have been given. Will we freely give?

I am God's work in progress. God's word says "be holy as I am holy." The only way to accomplish this is to turn our lives over to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that this is a learning process but begins with a real desire to know Him. My prayer is Lord keep me on your paths of righteousness bringing glory and honor to your name.
