We have God’s laws and we have the laws of our country. Think about this! If we keep God’s laws we keep our country’s laws. Do we only say we love God or do we behave as though we love God?
1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.
John 14:15 Jesus said: “If you love Me keep My commandments.”
1 John 3:23 And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love on another, as He has given us commandment.
Romans 13:10 Love does no harm to a neighbor therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
Can we say that we love God? Do we have hate or anger towards others?
Mark 7:20-23 And He said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”
1 John 2:10 He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him.
Do we really know God?
1 John 2:3-5 Now by this we know we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we know Him.
Search me oh God and remove all that is not of You. Keep me on Your paths of righteousness and lead me by Your word and Your Spirit. In Jesus name amen. Praise be to You Lord for You will complete the good work You have begun in me.
