Ezekiel 3:18 When I say to the wicked, you shall surely die, and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand.
Some times this scripture is used to tell those who are not believers that they are sinning and going to hell. If we look at the scripture above it we see that this is not the case.
Ezekiel 3:17 Son of man, I have made you watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear a word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me:
From this verse God made clear Ezekiel was sent to God’s chosen people to bring them warning.
Mark 16:15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
Isaiah 52:7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings of good things, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion “Your God reins!”
The word gospel means good news. What is the good news?
John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son to condemn the world but that the world through Him might be saved.
We are to walk in Jesus ways so that the world sees Christ in us. We are not the worlds judge but we are to be Christ’s light in a dark world.
1 Peter 2:12 Having your conduct honorable among the gentiles, that when they speak against you as evil doers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation.
In the day of visitation?
Lord, thank You for Your word! Lord, though our sins are many we know You will complete the good work You have begun in us. Only by Your Holy Spirit may we grow to be more like our Savior Jesus Christ. Lord, bless us with more sensitivity to Your Holy Spirit and to hear, listen and obey; that those who see You in us will want to know You also. Blessed be our Father in Heaven for He loves us so much He sent His Son to rescue us. In Jesus name . Amen
