Long Life:

Exodus 20:12 Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.

Ephesians 6:1-4 Children obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor you father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise, that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.

Isaiah 63:16 Doubtless You are our Father, though Abraham was ignorant of us, and Israel does not acknowledge us. You Lord, are our Father; Our Redeemer from Everlasting is Your name.

Matthew 5:17 do not think that I come to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.

John 8:28 Then Jesu said to them “When you lift up the son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things, and He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.”

Luke 6:46 But why do you call Me Lord, Lord and not do the things which I say?

Psalm 119:66 Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the Law of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep His Testimonies who seek Him with the whole heart.

Psalm 119:66 Teach me good judgement and knowledge, for I believe Your commandments.

Psalm 119:86 All Your commandments are faithful; they persecute me wrongfully; Help me.

Psalm 119:140 Your Word is very pure; Therefore Your servant loves it.

Matthew 2:28-32 But what do you think? A man had two sons, and he came to the first and said, son go work today in my vineyard. He answered and said, I will not, but afterward he regretted it and went. Then he came to the second and said likewise, and he answered and said I go sir, but he did not go. Which of the two did the will of the father? They said to Him the first, Jesus said to them, “assuredly, I say to you that tax collectors and harlots enter the kingdom of God before you. For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and harlots believed him, and when you saw it you did not afterward relent and believe him.

Lord, I thank You that You are merciful and kind, and slow to anger. Your directions for us in Your Word are all good to live a good life. Forgive us for our whining and help us to follow Your perfect Word, that Your peace and love may rest on us every day. We ask this in Your Son’s perfect name Jesus Christ. Amen

I am God's work in progress. God's word says "be holy as I am holy." The only way to accomplish this is to turn our lives over to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that this is a learning process but begins with a real desire to know Him. My prayer is Lord keep me on your paths of righteousness bringing glory and honor to your name.
