Lord, Lord?

Is Jesus Lord of our lives? Do we act and speak like He is Lord of our lives?

Luke 6:46 “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?”

John 14:15 If you love Me keep My commandments.

James 1:22-24 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.

James 2:8 If you really fulfill the royal law according to scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well;

Romans 13:10 Love does no harm to a neighbor therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peace keepers for they shall be called sons of God.

Romans 12 :18 If it is possible, as much as it depends on you, live peaceably with all men.

Psalm 16:1-2 Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust. O my soul, you have said to the Lord, “You are my Lord, my goodness is nothing apart from You.”

I am God's work in progress. God's word says "be holy as I am holy." The only way to accomplish this is to turn our lives over to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that this is a learning process but begins with a real desire to know Him. My prayer is Lord keep me on your paths of righteousness bringing glory and honor to your name.
