Many of us say, ‘I am a christian.’ This name came about because people could recognize those who followed Jesus teachings. Do we love Jesus? Do we walk in His teachings daily? Jesus repeated a statement 4 times from John 14:15 through John 15:10. Do we love Jesus? Do others recognize us as followers of Jesus teachings?
John 14:15 “If you love Me keep My commandments.”
John 14:21 “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love Him and manifest Myself to him.”
John 14:23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If ANYONE loves Me he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.”
John 15:10 “If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.”
Do we love Jesus? You will know them by their fruit; by their words and actions. God is with us. Do others recognize Him in us?
Lord, thank You that You did not leave us on our own but sent Your Holy Spirit to help us. Strengthen us that others may see You in us. In Jesus name amen
