God is love! If love is patient and love is kind where is our patience? Where is our kindness? If Jesus fed the five thousand and healed the sick. Where is our kindness? Where is our love? If there was no hate, no malice, and no deceit found in Jesus. Where is our truth? Where is our honesty? Will we examine ourselves?
1 Corinthians 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
1 Corinthians 13:4-6 Love suffers long and is kind, love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; but rejoices in the truth;
Jesus says, “Do not fear.” Do we create fear?
1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear; because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.
2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of sound mind.
If we have been given a sound mind should we not use it? The devil creates fear to make us sin. Will we turn to truth, the truth of God’s word and walk in it?
John 8:44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murder from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
Isaiah 30:21 Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand or the left.
Are we listening? God is love, will we walk in love? All men are created in the image of God. Love your neighbor, love your enemies, love the stranger, it is written.
