John 14:15 ” If you love Me keep My commandments.”
We are none perfect. In fact scripture tells us our tongues sin easily and if we can control our words we could control our whole body.
James 3:6-10 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature, and it is set on fire by hell. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea is tamed and has been tamed by mankind but no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. Out of the mouth proceed blessings and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.
Do we speak about things we really do not understand by justifying it with, “I am entitled to my opinion?”
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, Bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
Do we believe our prayers are unanswered because we don’t see things happening the way we believed or expected?
Isaiah 55:8-9 For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.
Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in every thing by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving let your requests be made know to God.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.
Do we really trust God?
Philippians 2:14-16 Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the mist of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.
Thank You Lord, You did not leave us orphans but gave us not only Your word but Your Holy Spirit. Lead us in Your way of righteousness. In Jesus name
