What do think of as being meek?
Matthew 5:5 Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
Isaiah 42:1-4 Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the gentiles, He will not cry out, nor raise His voice, nor cause His voice to be heard in the street. A bruised reed He will not break, a smoking flax He will not quench; He will bring forth justice for truth. He will not fail nor be discouraged, till He has established justice in the earth; and the coastlands shall wait for His law.
Isaiah 53:7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He opened not his mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth.
Philippians 2:5-8 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men and being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even death of the cross.
Abraham believed God would give him and his descendants the land of Canaan and he lived among them with humbleness and integrity so much so they called him a prince among them. Then God confirmed the promise to Isaac. Isaac dug wells and they came and argued the water was theirs and he just moved and dug another until they didn’t argue any more. The king of Gerar came and asked for a peace treaty with Isaac because they saw the Lord was with with Isaac. Isaac’s people out numbered them yet he agreed to live among them in peace. Moses believed God and obeyed God. Moses was called the most humble.
Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God.
Proverbs 17:14 The beginning of strife is like releasing water; therefore stop contention before a quarrel starts.
Proverbs 17:27 He who has knowledge spares his words, and a man of understanding is of a calm spirit.
1 John 2:17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it, but he who does the will of God abides forever.
Thank You Jesus for coming to show us the Father. For there is no greater love than to lay down Your life for another. You gave that we might receive. Abba thank You, You will complete the good work You have begun in us to the day Jesus comes for us. Blessed are we who receive. Amen
