Meek is not weak but self control. Self control is a gift of God.
Ecclesiastes 9:17-18 Words of the wise, spoken quietly, should be heard rather than the shout of a ruler of fools. Wisdom is better than weapons of war; but one sinner destroys much good.
Those with wisdom and understanding do not need to act a fool and shout, threaten and put others down.
Matthew 5:5 Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth.
Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God.
Romans 12:14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
We are to work quietly and live in peace with all men treating others better than ourselves. Yes this can be hard. Pray without ceasing.
Proverbs 27:2 Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; a stranger, and not your own lips.
James 1:19-21 So then my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear and slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. Therefore lay aside all filthiness and over flow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
