Mercy?

God’s mercy. We have all received God’s mercy, God’s grace at some time in our life. In the face of death and destruction, with life seemingly coming apart, Jeremiah turns tragedy into a triumph of faith.

Laminations 3:20-23 My soul still remembers and sinks within me. This I recall to mind, therefore I have hope. Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.

There was a time in my life that I felt like every thing was falling apart. I didn’t understand that God in His mercy was cleaning up my life of sin to bring me to a new life. God gave encouragement one morning along the way. I heard in my soul, “Your life’s not falling apart it’s falling into place.” Praise God, I can see what He brought me out of to a life of peace and joy that at times I feel I do not deserve. When God brings us to true repentance and forgives us in His mercy, should we not rejoice in His grace? God lifts us out of sins bondage and destruction. True repentance brings wonderful change! Jesus peace surpasses all understanding! Each day brings its own troubles but by God’s love and teaching we are able to walk with Him through all of them. The Good Shepherd never leaves His sheep.

John 10:11 I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd gives His life for the sheep.

John 10:28-29 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Fathers hand.

Do we struggle against correction? Do we struggle with laying down what we think is good for what God says is good or better? A lot of times this may come from fear or shame. Fear of being seen as less than and shame of what we think others will think of us. Remember God’s mercies are new every morning, God’s compassion’s fail not. Run to the Father!

Draw close to God and He will draw close to you. God is love. Love corrects, protects, encourages, love is gentle, love is kind, God is love.
