Mercy?

God is merciful. Are we merciful? God sent His only begotten Son that we might live. In God’s mercy He waited for me. Did God wait for you? Will we pray God’s mercy on all those yet to come to faith in Jesus? Will we live in a way that shines Jesus light and love? Will we bear the fruit of the Spirit?

Joel 2:1-2 Blow the trumpet in Zion and sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; for the day of the Lord is coming, for it is at hand: a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, like the morning clouds spread over the mountains.

1 Peter 2:11-12 Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul, having your conduct honorable among the gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation.

1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 That you also aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you, that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and that you my lack nothing.

1 Thessalonians 5:15 See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and all.

1 Peter 2:17 Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.

Romans 9:21-24 Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and one for dishonor? What if God, wanting to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much long suffering the vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared before hand for glory, even us whom He called, not of the Jews only but also the gentiles.

Joel 2:12-13 “Now therefore,” says the Lord, “Turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.” So rend your hearts, and not your garments; Return to the Lord God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness; He relents from doing harm.

Who are we praying for and waiting for to come to faith in Jesus? We are none without sin.

I am God's work in progress. God's word says "be holy as I am holy." The only way to accomplish this is to turn our lives over to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that this is a learning process but begins with a real desire to know Him. My prayer is Lord keep me on your paths of righteousness bringing glory and honor to your name.
