Many of us can spend much time in front of a mirror. How much time do we spend on reflection of our words and actions? God’s word is a clear reflection on history, those who before us did good, did evil, obeyed God, and used wisdom in which God gave. It shows us His love for us. If we learned, gained wisdom from God’s word, gained understanding, and knowledge would we still make the same mistakes over and over?
Proverbs 12:1 Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid.
James 1:22-24 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror for he observes himself, goes away and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.
God gave the perfect wisdom, the perfect self help word that has stood the test of time and will live forever. Can we look into His word and accept His wisdom, and His teaching, and yes His correction? He never left us on our own. God is love.
