What comes to mind when we hear the word missionary? Are we not all missionaries? Jesus sent His disciples to their own people first, Jesus came to His own first. Love your neighbor as yourself.
Matthew 10:5-6 These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them saying: “Do not go into the gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritan’s. But go rather to the lost sheep of Israel.”
Matthew 10:4 And whoever will not receives you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.
In Paul’s travels He went to the Jews first and then the gentiles. Should we not be missionaries / disciples for Jesus in our own communities? Living in such a way that they see Jesus in our actions and words. So that when we are asked we can tell them about our Savior and our hope in Him.
What fruit are we bearing?
