Exodus 20:13 You shall not murder.
Matthew 5:21-22 You have heard that it was said to those of old, “You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of judgement. But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgement.
Matthew 5:43-45 You have heard that it was said, “You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I say to you love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes the sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust.”
Romans 13:10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
We have been told wash our hands, social distance, and wear a mask. These are the tools we can use to protect our loved ones, our friends, and our neighbors. As christians we are to do all we can to protect and love our neighbor and yes those we don’t have warm feelings toward. It is not about demanding our right to control our bodies. Does anyone see the hypocrisy in this stance? This virus has killed many and will continue to take those we love, leave lasting trauma, and damage financially and physically. As christians let us be apart of the healing. Faith without works is dead.
Lord, thank You for Your word that guides, corrects, trains, rebukes, every man. Lord, we lift up all who are hurting in this season; lead us in helping those we can during this time. Help us to be aware of those in need and step up where ever we can. Every little bit counts. In Jesus name amen
