Each generation moves forward in time. Do we remember times, and seasons that have happened and gone before? How many of us are interested in history? God gave us an historical account that beautifully teaches His way. Are we listening?
Ecclesiastes 1:9-11 That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun, is there anything of which may be said, “see this is new?” It has already been in ancient times before us. There is no remembrance of former things, nor will there be any remembrance of former things, nor will there be any remembrance of things that are to come by those who will come after.
How many of us remember WW1, WW2, Hitler, the Spanish flue, hurricanes of the past, earthquakes, and much more that has gone before? With no remembrance we can be doomed to repeat our mistakes.
Ecclesiastes 12:130-14 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is man’s all. For God will bring every work into judgement, including every secret thing, whether good or evil.
Revelation 22:14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.
Revelation 22:7 “Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”
Romans 13:10 Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
How will be found when Jesus comes? Will we turn and live?
Ezekiel 18:4 “Behold, all souls are Mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is Mine; the soul who sins shall die.”
Ezekiel 18:20 The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the quilt of the father, nor the father bear the quilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.
Ezekiel 18:23 “Do I have any pleasure at all that the wicked should die?” says the Lord God, and not that he should turn from his ways and live?”
Ezekiel 18:32 “For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” says the Lord. “Therefore turn and live.”
Blessing or cursing? Life or death? God’s way leads to eternal life. Which shall we choose? God is merciful and forgives even to 70 x 70.
